My wife and I spent a week traveling down the Southern Oregon Coast into Northern California for our anniversary in June. Yes, that’s right, my backlog has reached June…so, I’m just a little behind. It was awesome to explore a new area. The last time I visited the Redwoods, I was a little kid. I think they were pretty much as big as I remember. It was difficult to find perspectives to shoot that would give the viewer some sense of the massiveness of these giants. While we were out hiking in Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park, we came across several trees that had grown very close together. We spent quite a bit of time just sitting in the middle of them getting lost in the canopy above.
