Description

The first sunrise I had the opportunity photographing in Big Bend. It did not disappoint! I only hoped I had given myself a bit more time to scout out this area as we had just arrived in the park at sunset the night before. However, I (carefully) stepped off the road and sought an interesting foreground to shoot below the rugged Chisos Mountains. One must be extremely careful when trudging off-trail through the desert. When doing this during sunset the night before, I pulled out and inch-long thorn from the sole of my shoe which had nearly punctured my sock!
