Description
This was the most beautiful stretch of coastline I have ever seen…anywhere. It was my first time visiting Samuel Boardmen State Park on the Southern Oregon Coast. My wife and I camped in this area for a couple nights on our way to the Redwoods for our 10-year anniversary. We had to scramble to get to this spot as magic hour came around. I had done quite a bit of looking around on Google Earth to find areas I wanted to shoot in. But, I wasn’t sure about trails to the spots I wanted to get to. I was happy to see a number of spur trails off the main Oregon Coast Trail down to the end of the bluffs. But, it was easy to get lost in the moment and the color, forgetting my surroundings until I realized I was perched on a rather steep cliff. Luckily my wife still likes me enough after 10 years to prevent me from killing myself. Scenese like this are endless here and I could spend weeks in this park and never shoot the same compsoition twice. I must go back.
