My first time visiting this area. The views from up here are incredible this time of year. Some strong winds took care of all the clouds I was hoping would make for a colorful sky. The wind also made shooting the fragile balsamroot difficult. But, I came across this popular scene by accident as I was looking for some shelter from the wind. I always appreciate the time I spend shooting a scene so fleeting. Every year it seems these fleeting seasonal scenes fade faster and faster.
