One of the best views in Oregon from this vantage point. Hiked up here over Labor Day weekend with a group of friends. From the top of this ridge above Broken Top’s No-Name Lake, we could see every Oregonian cascade peak to the North (The Three Sisters, Mt Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Jefferson, and Hood). One of my friends who just recently discovered the awesomeness backpacking was so overwhelmed by this view, it actually brought tears to his eyes. This sunset was pretty amazing too, but the afterglow was even better. I stayed up here longer than anyone waiting to get this shot before hiking back down to camp.
