Okay, so I wasn’t actually lying down here becuase the insects were relentless! I had a preconceived composition in my head similar to this before we even got to the Redwoods. I knew I wanted to get this shot, but it took some time to find the right set of trees! After spending some time driving the ‘Avenue of Giants’ in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, we took this little road to some more trees. I pulled over and just wandered through the forest not on any trail until I found these trees that were pretty close together, almost completely obstructing any view of the sky. Perfect!
