Description

The spectacular ridiculousness of the views in this place were just something I never got used to while camping here. It doesn’t matter where you looked, there was always some epic, glacially carved mass of rock staring you back in the face. However, it wasn’t always paired with an equally deserving magic hour. This morning, I rose early with my friends Jeff Barnhart and Nicole Coppi and made the drive from Many Glacier to St Mary Lake with little expectation for epic sky. However, we made the most of our time and bushwacked to the lakeshore to find these interesting rock formations. The color of which contrasted quite well with the lake water and the dark sky allowed for some slower shutter speeds giving the water that smooth look.
